Maggie is a real good looking Newfie who, with a little patience and lots of love, would made a great companion dog for a good home.  She is healthy and happy, very loving and smart.  She's the kind of dogs that gets a lot of attention when you take her out as people just want to come up and pet her.  In other words, Maggie is a wonderful Newfie.

She has done really well so far at the LickSkillet training provided by HANR.  She can perform most of the basic commands, and gets along with other dogs.  She listens well and should be successful with additional training.  Like most Newfies, she really loves having a fenced in area where she can run and play, and of course get as wet as possible.  She has done just fine at bedtime, sleeping all thru the night.  Maggie is both crate trained and house broken, so we've not had any accidents or problems.  She loves to take car rides and does really well for a beginner while taking walks on a leash.  She was understandably excited her first couple of days here, but quickly has settled in just fine.  Maggie is looking for someone to adopt her and give her a life full of affection and fun times.  She will gladly give both back to you.
